7 Days, 3 Big Cities

By | April 12, 2013

The next 7 days are going to be busy and exciting for me as I travel all around the Eastern US.

The first trip will be Saturday, Leland and I are driving to Philadelphia, PA for the Salisbury Rollergirls All-Stars first away bout of the 2013 season. We are playing none other than Philadelphia Roller Girls (Block Party)! I’m very excited for this bout because Philly’s All Star team is currently ranked #9 in the USA. We are playing their “C Team” I believe, but from what I hear they are also very good and some of the skaters on that team have competed regionally and possibly nationally.

Then on Monday I will be headed out on business to Chicago for a huge trade show. I’m flying alone which I’ve only done once before. When I get to Chicago my plan is to get right to the hotel, checkin, drop my bags, and head out for an adventure in downtown Chicago. I want to see Milennium Park and some sculpture and architecture, and maybe do some shopping – including some healthy groceries to keep me on track. Then 2 full days in a bustling expo hall- manning our booth for work and walking around getting inspiration and hopefully creating some excitement in our company. Then on Thursday I’m back in the air flying to New Orleans for a Kitchen and Bath Expo. I’m meeting a colleague there who is really nice and fun to be around, so I’m excited for that. We will attend the show all day Friday. Then first thing Saturday morning I’ll be headed home.

These trips will really be challenging for me in a few ways.
1. Traveling/Flying alone
2. Trying to keep eating clean/healthy while being tempted
3. Being outgoing and selling our brand, trying to land new customers
4. Finding time to exercise in Chicago/New Orleans
